Partial Hospitalization Program
Commitment
Structured daytime mental health treatment providing intensive clinical support without overnight hospitalization.
Structured daytime mental health treatment providing intensive clinical support without overnight hospitalization.
Zephyr Health’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is designed for adults 18 and older who require a higher level of support than traditional outpatient or Intensive Outpatient services but do not require inpatient hospitalization. PHP provides a structured, full-day treatment experience focused on stabilization, symptom reduction, and building a strong foundation for long-term recovery. Whether transitioning from inpatient care or beginning treatment at a more intensive level, PHP delivers evidence-based care in a safe and supportive clinical environment.
PHP meets Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:30pm, providing over 25 hours of structured clinical care each week. This consistent weekday schedule allows clients to fully engage in treatment while maintaining stability in their home environment each evening. The average length of stay ranges from two to four weeks, depending on individual needs, treatment goals, and clinical progress.
Each treatment day follows a consistent and carefully structured format designed to promote safety, stability, and growth. Clients participate in daily check-ins, therapeutic group sessions, and structured psychoeducation focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience. In addition to group-based treatment, PHP includes individualized treatment planning, regular psychiatric evaluation, medication management when clinically appropriate, and coordinated care oversight. Crisis stabilization and safety planning are integrated into the program to ensure comprehensive support throughout treatment.
Zephyr Health’s PHP integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and other research-supported clinical approaches. Treatment is personalized through ongoing assessment and measurement-based care, allowing interventions to be adjusted as clients progress. Our approach emphasizes practical coping tools, emotional regulation strategies, behavioral change, and strengthening internal and external support systems.
Clients completing PHP at Zephyr Health often experience improved emotional stability, reduced symptom severity, enhanced distress tolerance, and stronger interpersonal skills. Upon completion, each client receives a personalized step-down plan that may include Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), outpatient therapy, psychiatric follow-up, or connection to community-based resources. Our goal is not only short-term stabilization, but equipping individuals with the structure, skills, and support necessary to sustain long-term mental wellness.
